How we got here...
Hi there, my name is Joe and welcome to Awakened Flame Tarot. Awakened Flame Tarot was born when I had the realisation that a new skill picked up in the pandemic lockdown (how original!) was giving me a deeper insight and perspective into myself and my life than I could ever have imagined. This was a lifeline at a time where I felt stuck, out of control and like I didn't know myself. The cards brought me calming and deep reflection on my relationships with myself, those around me and the world.
Through the last 5 years of study I have developed a reading style inspired by the work of incredible readers and teachers including Lindsay Mack (Tarot For The Wild Soul), Amanda Yates-Garcia (The Oracle of LA) and Charlie Claire Burgess (The Word Witch). These incredible humans see tarot as a tool for reflection, medicine and to bring about radical shifts in our perspectives and behaviours. In embracing these shifts, we can grow and evolve, encouraging others and the world around us to do the same.
How my readings work...
People come to me for a huge range of reasons, whether needing reflection and guidance on relationships, work, conflicts or change. Some come to me regularly for a general reflection on where they are and where they might put their energy next. The reading is led by you and I adapt with spreads and decks dependent on your needs.
My readings are inclusive and empowering, delivered with grounded and heartfelt insight to all my clients. I operate a safe and non-judgmental space for those who come to me which allows them to understand how to flow better in a world order that often encourages us to fear, lack empathy, embrace materialism and accept systemic inequity.
I see tarot as an incredibly powerful and transformative tool and I look forward to introducing you to my practice whether you have plenty of experience with tarot or this is your first time.
